Stranica ljubavi

Stranica ljubavi

Émile Zola

The novel "The Page of Love" by Émil Zola follows the life of a young widow and a doctor, who are brought together by the illness of the widow's twelve-year-old daughter.

The widow cannot come to terms with the thought that her mother could love someone else besides her. This is a tender, touching and simple novel with three main characters. Zola, looking at Paris from above, creates a living being who silently attends the drama that takes place on the pages of the novel, changing its appearance according to the moods of the person, with all the games of light, sometimes in the glare of summer evenings, sometimes under a burst of rain and snow.
