Totenwande

Totenwande

Daša Drndić

This novel recalls the historical legacy of Europe, including the ethnic cleansing, concentration camps, mass murders and tortures of the Second World War.

The novel deals with metatextual procedures and tries to present documentary truth as an essential dramaturgical determinant of its heroes. Drndić uses fragments from real life, history and literature to create a deeper meaning and reflect on human destiny.
