Ribanje i ribarsko prigovaranje

Ribanje i ribarsko prigovaranje

Petar Hektorović

Fishing and Fisherman's Complaint by Hvar nobleman and poet Petar Hektorović (Stari Grad, 1487-1572) is an anthology and one of the most significant works of Croatian Renaissance literature.

Written as an epistle in the style of an eclogue and dedicated to my friend Jeronim Bartučević, this fisherman's story in verse is a humanistic ode to life's wisdom, human solidarity, healthy coexistence with nature and the environment, care, love and understanding for the common man.
