Povijest filozofije s odabranim filozofskim tekstovima: Udžbenik za gimnaziju

Nevenka Vejnović

The book provides a systematic overview of the development of philosophical thought from ancient times to the 20th century. An excellent introduction to philosophy, which helps students develop the ability to argue and understand philosophical texts.

Intended for high school students, the book explains basic philosophical ideas, schools and thinkers in an accessible way, encouraging critical thinking and understanding of complex concepts.

The textbook is divided into thematic units that follow the chronological development of philosophy, starting with the pre-Socratics, through Plato and Aristotle, medieval scholasticism, the Renaissance and rationalism, to existentialism and analytical philosophy of the 20th century. Special emphasis is placed on key philosophical problems such as ontology, ethics, knowledge and political philosophy.

In addition to the theoretical overview, the book provides selected excerpts from the works of the most important philosophers, enabling students to get directly acquainted with the sources of philosophical thought. Language and style are adapted to educational needs, and end-of-chapter questions and exercises encourage analysis and discussion.
