Nefertiti je bila legendarna egipatska kraljica, čuvena po izvanrednoj ljepoti.

Nefertiti se udala za Ekhnatona, egipatskog prijestolonasljednika. Njezini su se snovi ostvarili, postala je slavna i stekla neograničenu moć. Bila ljubimica naroda i najbliža savjetnica svoga supruga. Nakon što je Ekhnaton prekinuo s tisućugodišnjom vjerskom tradicijom i okrenuo se novom bogu Atonu, navukao je na sebe gnjev svećenstva i vojske. Egipat su razdirale unutrašnje podijele i ratne prijetnje. Vođen bolesnom faraonovom političkom ambicijom, Egipat se našao pred propašću.
