"Svitlo" is a Chakavian poem by Nikša Krpetić, published in 2023.

The work was awarded at the Festival of Native Literature in Split, standing out among the best works of the festival. The poem was also presented in the magazine "Književna Rijeka" 1-2/2023.

"Svitlo" brings vivid descriptions of the entry of light into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, using the richness of the Chakavian dialect. The author picturesquely depicts the atmosphere of the city, where the smells, sounds and emotions of the gathered crowd mix. Motifs of hope, repentance and spiritual renewal run through the poem, while various characters face their sins and seek redemption. Krpetić's language and style evoke the authentic spirit of the time and place, providing the reader with a deep immersion in the events described in the poem.
