Norveška šuma

Norveška šuma

Haruki Murakami

The Norwegian Forest is Haruki Murakami's most famous novel, a cult book that until recently was the biggest Japanese bestseller in general. The first Croatian edition of the book.

Hearing an old Beatles song, thirty-seven-year-old Toru Watanabe goes back in his mind eighteen years into the past, when he spent his student days in Tokyo, lost in the world of anxious friendships, casual sex, passion, losses and longing. It enters the year 1969, when he met Naoko for the first time after an unfortunate incident and when they tried to get over the suicide of their mutual friend Kizuki by walking around the city together. The unusual and fragile Naoko, unable to get over the suicide of her older sister and friend, goes to a sanatorium, while the unrestrained, sexy and full of life Midori marches into Watanabe's life. The connection between Naoko and Watanabe is even more pronounced and stronger by her isolation...
