Poniženi grad

Poniženi grad

Vjekoslav Kaleb

This book is based on the prose of Ponižene ulice (Humiliated Streets) (Zora, Zagreb, 1950).

Some, in the author's opinion, awkward chapters were removed and the entire prose was given a sense that was initially conceived but not consistently implemented. In order for readers to find their way around, the author changed the title, so this new variant is called The Humiliated City. The text of this edition is final.
