Ashley Flowers

"All Good People Here" is the debut novel by Ashley Flowers, the famous host of the true crime podcast Crime Junkie.

Published in 2022, the novel became a New York Times bestseller. The story takes place in the small town of Wakarusa, Indiana, where in 1994, six-year-old January Jacobs was found dead, and her killer was never found. Twenty-five years later, journalist Margot Davies, who was January's neighbor and friend, returns to her hometown to care for her uncle. Shortly after returning, five-year-old Natalie Clark disappears from a nearby town, under similar circumstances to January. Margot begins an investigation, confronting secrets, lies, and resistance from a community that hides dark truths. The novel explores themes such as the impact of trauma, the dynamics of small communities, truth and perception, and justice and injustice. Through a tense and emotionally charged story, Flowers asks the question: What are your neighbors capable of when they think no one is watching?
