In this book, Fantomas continues his daring and brutal crimes, including murder and robbery, while challenging Juve with his ability to always evade justice. In addition to Juve, the journalist Fandor plays a key role, helping in the investigation and often finding himself in danger due to Fantomas' traps. The novel is full of tense moments, unpredictable twists and dark depictions of the Parisian underworld. Souvestre and Allain create an atmosphere of suspense, combining elements of the Gothic novel with modern crime plots. Fantomas is portrayed as a charismatic but demonic villain whose genius and ruthlessness captivate readers, while Juve's persistence and intellectual struggle add depth to the story.
