Dubravko Ivančan (1931–1982) was a Croatian poet, essayist, and translator, known for his works for children and young adults. One of his most famous works is "Jaje harambaša", first published in 1958.
This book is a continuation of the author's debut Fleki's adventure - True stories. In the new book, Fleki's adventures are joined by the cat Figaro, a new pet in the family of the boy Venia.
The story was published by Mijat Stojanović in his book Folk Tales and Poems, published in 1867. Along with it, Stojanović noted: "In Samac from the merchant Marko from Kobaš, grad. krajina year 1835."
