Darby Thorne, a young college student, rushes home to Utah before Christmas, finds herself caught in the middle of a fierce snowstorm in the Colorado mountains overnight. The roads will be impassable until morning, and she is forced to wait at a remote highway rest area, where she meets four other travelers who have taken refuge there from the blizzard. Desperately searching for a cell phone signal, Darby makes a terrifying discovery in the parking lot. In the back of a van parked next to her car, she finds a little girl locked in a dog cage. Without a cell phone signal, she cannot call for help. By morning, when the roads are clear, it may be too late to save the girl. One of the four strangers is a dangerous kidnapper. But which one? And which of the other three can Darby trust?
