The radical left then attempted, for the last time, but probably not the last time, to leapfrog historical epochs (even in the historical order that emerges from the teachings of its classics). Numerous victims fell, but the direct intentions of the RAF members failed completely. In a somewhat paradoxical way, the state - almost in accordance with the leftist worldview - showed in its attack on terrorists and sympathizers (and even "sympathizers") that at least in this area the maxim of the superiority of socially organized action over that which is privately established is valid. However, Germany and Europe have changed in many ways since then, and RAF activists have experienced, after the cessation of the "armed struggle", unusual, even incredible processes that are, although only partly, the consequences of their actions - the weakening of the radical left while simultaneously strengthening the acceptability of state intervention are only the key ones among them...
