„Povrede dece“ su zanimljiv dodatak literaturi o zaštiti dece. Nadam se da će je oni kojima je namenjena pažljivo pročitati i intenzivno koristiti. Knjiga je podeljena na dva dela. Prvi pokriva sprečavanje nesreća kod dece, a drugi postupke koje treba slediti nakon što se nesreća dogodi. Naravno, sprečavanje nesreća je – pojedinačno posmatrano – najvažniji element za bezbednost deteta. Kada je uspešno, postupci u hitnim slučajevima postaju nepotrebni. Postoji vrlo malo tajni u sprečavanju nesreća. Pripreme, sprovođenje i neophodne intervencije su obično, iako ne uvek, jednostavne, očigledne i zasnovane na zdravom razumu.
