Krv nije voda

Janko Matko

Everything seems perfect in the life of young and successful baron Erwin Vraniczany. As a young and successful entrepreneur, he gradually begins to take over businesses from his father and uncle and arranges a marriage with a girl from a wealthy family.

However, everything changes when one day, while riding past a gypsy tent, he meets a beautiful young girl, Eržika. Enchanted by her beauty, Ervin goes to the tent every day to listen to her and watch her dance. Incurable in love, he decides to marry her, which his family does not accept because they believe he is bewitched. On the wedding day, his fiancée is found dead in a room full of white lilies. Ervin and Eržika, unaware of this tragedy, go to Vienna for a honeymoon, during which Eržika realizes that all the luxury and beauty she is surrounded by does not mean much to her and that she longs for the freedom she had in the tent...
