Olovna vremena Andrije Kulina

The plot of the novel “The Lead Times of Andrija Kulin” begins on the eve of World War II, in the late 1930s, and ends in the late 1960s. Through the fate of the Kulin family, the author depicts the position of a small man in a wide spectrum of historical events and world turmoil – from the Great World War, various social upheavals, the disappearance of world empires and the emergence of new state formations. The novel “The Lead Times of Andrija Kulin” is characterized by elements of modern historical novels, which in Croatian literature are connected to Aralica’s novels with moralistic motifs, Frabrije’s Rijeka “Vježbanje života” and Hrvoje Hitrec’s Zagreb “Kolarove”.
