The Croatian School Museum, its Origin and Organization was published in 1902 in Zagreb on the occasion of the founding and public presentation of the Croatian School Museum. The publication was created during the period of intensive development of Croatian education in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and represents a valuable document on the emergence of one of the most important Croatian cultural and educational institutions. The museum was founded at the instigation of Croatian teachers and school experts with the aim of collecting, preserving and studying materials related to the history of upbringing, education and school life.

The book describes in detail the process of founding the museum, from the first initiatives and organizational preparations to the formation of permanent collections and exhibition spaces. Special attention is paid to the role of teachers' associations and educational workers who collected teaching materials, school textbooks, documents, school furniture, student works and other items important for presenting the development of Croatian education.
