Junaci Domovinskog rata #7
The seventh book in the series brings eleven new stories about Croatian defenders whose courage, sacrifice, and love for their homeland left an indelible mark.
The seventh book of the series Heroes of the Homeland War brings eleven new testimonies of people who stood in defense of their homeland in the most difficult moments of Croatian history. Davor Runtić continues to record their memories, conversations and war journeys, creating a valuable documentary work that preserves the memory of real people behind great historical events.
The book continues the story of Ivo Kovačić, revealing new details of his wartime journey, while Ante Ćurić and Franjo Gašpar, officers of the Croatian Army and participants in the Homeland War, bring the responsibility of command, decision-making under pressure and experiences from the battlefield closer to their testimonies. Along with them, Josip Franičević – Lula, Ante Glavinić, Josip Maleš, Zvjezdana Budić, Drago Krpan, Ladislav Kotrba – Laci, Marinko Bošnjak and Dragan Puškarić bring stories about volunteers, defenders and comrades whose war destinies were shaped by courage, renunciation, losses and unbreakable togetherness.
Each chapter presents a different view of the Homeland War - from the first days of defense and war tasks to life after returning from the battlefield. Together, they form a strong testimony of people who did not seek glory, but took responsibility for the defense of Croatia in crucial moments. The seventh book is therefore not just a collection of biographies, but a permanent record of the generation of veterans whose works have become an integral part of Croatian history.
