Eros
The 1997 compilation album by Italian star Eros Ramazzotti features a selection of his greatest hits, refreshed re-recorded versions of older songs, and famous duets with Tina Turner and Andrea Bocelli.
Released in the fall of 1997 by DDD (BMG Ricordi), the album Eros is one of the most successful compilations in the history of European pop music. Instead of simply collecting old recordings, Ramazzotti and his longtime producer Celso Valli decided to re-record and modernize his early classics from the beginning of his career. This gave songs like "Terra Promessa", "Una Storia Importante", "Adesso Tu" and "Se Bastasse Una Canzone" a completely new, production-rich shine.
The release contains 16 superb compositions, among which two spectacular duets stand out: the energetic pop-rock hit "Cose Della Vita / Can't Stop Thinking Of You" recorded with Tina Turner and the touching and epic performance of "Musica È" in collaboration with the famous tenor Andrea Bocelli. In addition to them, the compilation also includes newer hits like "Più Bella Cosa" and "L'Aurora" and the brand new studio song "Quanto Amore Sei". With impeccable production and top guest musicians, Eros is a perfect cross-section of the first, extremely rich period of the career of this Italian singer-songwriter and a must-have release for any lover of quality pop music.
