Ponoćni susret

After the exceptional success of the novel "Uznesenje", Croatian physician and writer Neven Orhel published "Ponoćni susret" in 1985, a continuation of his authorized formula of combining the medical profession and the suspense thriller genre. In this work, Orhel once again demonstrates his superb knowledge of the hospital environment, the internal dynamics of the healthcare system, and the complex relationships between doctors, patients, and their families. The novel's plot carries a pronounced psychological charge and dynamic rhythm, where everyday medical decisions are intertwined with personal dramas, moral dilemmas, and unpredictable destinies.
