Zagor LU #267: Antarktik

Antarktik takes Zagor’s long pursuit of Dexter Green towards the southern edge of the world. The Endurance leaves Punta Arenas before the pursuers can catch it, but Hilario and the Marilena’s sailors refuse to abandon the chase. The voyage continues into waters where a small mistake can prove fatal.

Zagor and Chico depend on their friends’ determination and the crew’s ability to navigate hostile conditions. Speed is no longer the only measure of success: keeping ship and crew safe becomes essential as pursuit turns into a struggle for survival.

Mauro Boselli constructs a maritime adventure in which nature becomes an adversary in its own right. Pursuers and fugitives enter an environment indifferent to their ambitions. Loyalty and persistence drive the journey, while also raising the question of how far an enemy should be followed.

Raffaele Della Monica’s artwork emphasises ships, immense ice formations and open water. The contrast between human resolve and an unforgiving landscape sustains the suspense beyond direct confrontation.
