Blejz Sendrars (1887-1961) je oko svog života ispleo mit koji nema smisla raspetljavati, jer se mnogo pre njegove smrti mit savršeno poklapao sa stvarnom osobom.

Ova knjiga uspešno „prikazuje“ Sendrara – nazvanog pronalazačem moderne poezije i Indijanom Džonsom francuske književnosti – u njegovoj jedinstvenoj kombinaciji kolaža, pokretnih slika zaustavljenih u vremenu, astronomije u hroma koloru, narativne poezije, putopisa, pronađenih tekstova. Obogaćena je beleškama prevodioca, hronologijom pesnikovih putovanja, odabranom bibliografijom, kao i zanimljivim fotografskim prilozima iz albuma umetnika.
