Diese sechs Arbeiten gehören zur angewandten Ethik und wurden im Zeitraum von 1990 bis 2003 in verschiedenen Magazinen und Anthologien weltweit veröffentlicht.

Einige waren für die damalige Zeit und für den globalen Rahmen wegweisend, beispielsweise Diskussionen über Leihmutterschaft, AIDS oder Sezession. In der bibliografischen Anmerkung am Ende des Buches können Sie die genauen Daten zur vorherigen Ausgabe jedes Werks einsehen. Bis auf einen wurden alle Artikel erstmals auf Englisch verfasst und veröffentlicht. „Regret, Trust, and Morality“ stammt aus einem Artikel eines Autors im Journal of Philosophy und wurde von derselben Zeitschrift zur Veröffentlichung angenommen. Aufgrund der damaligen Sanktionen der Vereinten Nationen gegen Serbien wurde das Werk jedoch nicht veröffentlicht.
