Gorila I i II

Gorila I i II

Dušan Savković

First published in the seventies of the last century, Dušan Savković's novel Gorilla became a manifesto of the Balkan mafia in much the same way that The Godfather of Marija Puza became the accepted wisdom of American gangsters.

It is a novel with a key about Stevica Marković, the bodyguard of the famous French actor Alain Delone. This Belgrade mangup tried to blackmail members of the French elite with photos showing them in lascivious poses. Delone's "gorilla" was found dead, and his death set off a political scandal that rocked France for months.
