A serial killer has been terrorizing southern England for months by kidnapping, raping and brutally murdering innocent victims, mostly teenagers.
Driven by an unerring instinct possessed only by specially gifted detectives, Mark Heckenburg tracks down the Savage brothers, whom he is sure are cold-blooded killers who spread fear and death. On his own initiative, he starts a swift police action and in a wild chase, the brothers die on the highway. All the evidence indicates that the real perpetrators of terrible crimes were killed, but all the eyes of the public are on the police, wanting to know all the details of the investigation.
