The search for the Grail is greater than ever and Thomas knows that he is in for a fight on which the future of Christianity may depend.
The year is 1347. The Hundred Years' War has been suspended. Now an experienced veteran of the King of England's army, the archer Thomas of Hookton uses the truce to track down his sworn enemy, a terrifying and cruel relative, and at the same time end the search for the most valuable relic of Christendom - the Holy Grail. Heading north, Thomas knows he and his warriors are getting closer to the enemy. But fate once again prepared a handful of surprises for them. After saving from death a girl who was declared a heretic and condemned to be burned, Thomas himself is excommunicated from the Church, and both become fugitives. And as if that wasn't enough, an unstoppable plague epidemic is brewing around them. Overnight, fairy-tale landscapes become cradles of death, from which the smell of disease and the cries of the dying spread.
