Kako moliti krunicu
Luka Depolo’s 1992 prayer and religious handbook provides practical instructions, reflections, and a spiritual guide for praying the Catholic Rosary properly and with focus.
The practical religious handbook Kako moliti krunicu (How to Pray the Rosary) by Friar Luka Depolo, published in 1992 by Kršćanska sadašnjost, stands as one of the most sought-after and accessible spiritual and devotional publications in the region from the early 1990s. The book was created to provide believers—both beginners and those more experienced in the spiritual life—with a clear, methodical, and theologically grounded insight into one of the most widespread Catholic devotions. In the handbook, the author explains in detail the structure and dynamics of the Rosary prayer, guiding the reader through the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries (dating from the period before Pope John Paul II introduced the Luminous Mysteries). Alongside technical and ritual instructions, Friar Luka Depolo offers brief meditative reflections for each mystery, encouraging believers not to view the prayer as a mechanical repetition, but rather as a profound interior encounter and contemplation of the lives of Jesus and Mary. Written in simple, accessible, and warm language, Kako moliti krunicu played a significant role in spiritual renewal and religious education, remaining a recognized guide for personal and family prayer.
