Paprat i vatra

Paprat i vatra

Antonije Isaković

"Farn and Fire" is a collection of stories by Serbian writer Antonije Isaković, one of the most important representatives of Serbian literature of the 20th century.

Published in 1975, the collection deals with the themes of World War II, human suffering, moral dilemmas and the inner strength of individuals. Isaković is known for his works delving deeply into the psychology of characters and raising questions about human nature in extreme situations. "Farprat i vatra" is considered one of the best examples of prose that thematizes World War II in Serbian literature. Isaković does not romanticize war, but rather portrays it as a destructive force that tests the humanity of the individual. The work is recognized for its emotional depth and universal questions about human dignity and morality.
