Mister No SD #13: Zlatni trokut

Mister No SD #13: Zlatni trokut

Sergio Bonelli

Mister No and his former comrades fight drug producers in the Golden Triangle. Joining a wealthy ally’s private army, they face a threat of betrayal within their own ranks.

In Zlatni trokut, Mister No’s Asian adventure with his former comrades reaches its conclusion. Jerry joins the private army of wealthy Thakin Soon, who intends to destroy Generalissimo Thai and his opium and heroin operation. The Flying Tigers are back in action, but the danger is not confined to enemy territory.

A traitor within their ranks turns the campaign into a test of trust. Combat experience may help Jerry confront armed opponents, yet it cannot guarantee that he will recognise the hidden interests of those fighting beside him. Judging his allies becomes as important as understanding his enemies.

Luigi Mignacco combines action with themes of loyalty, wartime friendship and uncertain alliances. The border region between Burma, Thailand and Laos provides a setting where private armies and criminal power intersect. Fabrizio Busticchi and Luana Paesani illustrate an adventure in which courage must be matched by caution. Beyond the fighting, the story asks how far a shared objective can justify confidence in a powerful benefactor. This issue concludes the two-part adventure begun in Povratak „Tigrova” and is best read alongside that opening instalment.
