Mudrost pred Bogom

The book Mudrost pred Bogom ("Wisdom Before God"), published by Kršćanska sadašnjost, is the work of the renowned Croatian theologian, communications expert, and Franciscan, Dr. Mirko Mataušić. It is a handbook of a homiletic and spiritual nature that systematically follows the Sunday and feast-day biblical readings throughout the liturgical year (Year A). In this work, the author combines theological depth with accessible communication, thereby bringing liturgical texts closer to the contemporary reader. Each reflection seeks to translate the original biblical message into the context of everyday life, encouraging personal reflection, prayer, and action aligned with Christian values. Mataušić’s style is characterized by clarity, pastoral sensitivity, and dynamic insights into human daily life and the quest for meaning. Although primarily intended for priests, deacons, and preachers as material for preparing homilies and sermons, the book also serves lay believers for personal spiritual growth, meditation, and preparation for Sunday Mass celebrations.
