The novel Minuet for Guitar is a seminal work by Slovenian writer Vitomil Zupan that liberates war-themed literature from ideological constraints. Due to his uncompromising nature, bohemian lifestyle, and clashes with the social norms of the time, Zupan spent years in a communist prison; yet, it was precisely from this immense experience that his exceptional literature emerged.
