Zagor LU #275: Pobuna
Prisoners seize Hellgate and take hostages. With the army preparing to bombard the prison, Zagor goes inside to prevent a massacre and rescue the captives.
Pobuna takes Zagor back to Hellgate, a prison with deeply troubling associations for him. This time he enters voluntarily, hoping to save lives after a violent uprising. Caught between the prisoners and the army, the hostages are running out of time.
Legion leads the rebellion with the help of a mysterious hooded convict. The authorities refuse to negotiate and threaten an artillery attack, making Zagor’s intervention inside the walls the last chance of avoiding further bloodshed.
Samuel Marolla constructs a prison thriller about responsibility under pressure. Hellgate becomes a meeting point for conflicting interests, revenge and fear. Zagor must assess his opponents while protecting people unable to determine their own fate.
Paolo Bisi’s artwork emphasises confined passages, strained relationships and sudden violence. The threat of an external assault adds urgency to every conversation and rescue attempt, while uncertainty about the rebels’ intentions sustains the suspense.
This issue opens the two-part storyline spanning Ludens #275–276, concluded in Hellgate u plamenu. The adventure also marks Marolla’s debut as a Zagor writer.
