He meets an "unknown" rich lady and her companion (the Duchesse de Polastron), who manipulates the encounters. Explicit scenes include situations such as kisses on the terrace, nightly pleasures with promises of wealth (diamonds, land), lesbian acts with the chambermaid Agathe, threesomes with various positions.
