Bakonja fra Brne is a novel published in 1892 by Simo Matavulj. The plot is set in Dalmatinska Zagora around 1870, and the title character is a young man who, following the family tradition, becomes one of the Franciscan monks in the Visovac monastery.

This edition brings a selection of Šenoa's most famous cycle – epic-lyric poems-stories from "Povjestica". They are written in verse, with rhymes and rhythm, like old folk songs that are easy to remember and read aloud. Reading for 6th grade.
