Bakonja fra Brne is a novel published in 1892 by Simo Matavulj. The plot is set in Dalmatinska Zagora around 1870, and the title character is a young man who, following the family tradition, becomes one of the Franciscan monks in the Visovac monastery.
The collection contains five of the most beautiful Bosnian fairy tales: – Baš Čelik, – Zla zlaćeha, – Usud, – Titiz i Džomet, – Kabadaluk.
The lullabies in this selection were created following records from the past to the present day, collected and stored at the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies in Zagreb.
Among Krklec's children's poems, Telegraphic Fables stand out because with them he introduced a completely new form to Croatian children's poetry.
