First volume: The book has an engraving on the front page with the inscription "Kingdom and Commonality" by Jakov Orfelin, a map of "European and Asian Sarmatia" and at the end of the book a genealogical table of Bulgarian kings and princes. The book's front page is marked "Reimprimi potest - Georgius Petrovics m.p.", i.e. the censor's approval of publication by Đorđe Petrović - Karađorđ.
Second volume: At the end of the book there is a genealogy of Croatian princes and kings, and a genealogy of Serbian princes, by Jakov Orfelin.
Third volume: The book deals with the reign of Prince Lazar, the Battle of Kosovo, the reign of Branković, the history of Serbs in Hungary, etc. The volume ends with the Turkish siege of Belgrade and the Battle of Mohács. At the end of the book there are two tables with the genealogy of Dalmatian nobility and the genealogy of Nemanjić.
The fourth volume: The book deals with the history of the South Slavs from the Battle of Mohács to the end of the 18th century, and ends with extensive historical notes and chronologies of the Byzantine emperors from Constantine the Great to Constantine XI.
