At its First General Assembly in 1879, the Society of Arts from Zagreb considered a proposal to organize an "arts and crafts" exhibition, and the very next year, in 1880, the Museum of Arts and Crafts was founded.

Ljubo de Karina (born 1948 in Rakalj, Istria) is a Croatian sculptor known for his monumental works in stone, especially Istrian limestone, but also bronze and wood.
The monograph also provides a biographical framework, an analysis of thematic cycles, an interpretation of the artist's dominant motifs, and numerous reproductions of paintings.
