Dieses Buch enthält Matošs Reiseberichte und Feuilletontexte zu verschiedenen Themen, darunter Politik, Malerei und Literatur.

Diese Texte wurden ursprünglich in zahlreichen Zeitschriften veröffentlicht, hauptsächlich in Zagreb und Belgrad. Später wurden sie in mehr oder weniger modifizierten Versionen in die Bücher „Vidici i putovi“ (1907) und „Naši ljudi i krajje“ (1910) aufgenommen, in denen Matoš seine ausgereiftesten und künstlerisch wirkungsvollsten Feuilletonnotizen und Reiseaufsätze sammelte. Diese Sammlung bietet einen Einblick in Matošs vielfältiges literarisches Schaffen und seine Leidenschaft für das Reisen und die Beobachtung der Welt um ihn herum.
