The translation is in front of you. of the new edition of the book on dietary nutrition for diseases of the stomach and intestines, which the authors have reworked and supplemented with principles and practical instructions for dietary nutrition in celiac disease and some other intestinal diseases, which was not covered in earlier Slovenian editions. Examinations and tables have been supplemented, and a unique ADA system has been introduced for calculating the caloric and nutritional value for all these diseases and for all patients who want to learn more about it.

In the edition before you, outdated views and prejudices have been omitted. We excluded strict instructions for which we did not find a convincing justification and introduced a freer dietary diet, which is the only acceptable for modern medical understanding and practice, and much closer and more comfortable to the patient.
