Vojna pozadina u Slavoniji (1941-1945)
In this work, Ivan Mišković analyzes the military-strategic situation in Slavonia during World War II. He focuses on the actions of Partisan forces, Ustasha and Home Guard units, as well as the presence of the German army.
Due to its geographical position, Slavonia played a key role in the conflicts, with frequent operations on the route between the Sava and Drava rivers. The partisans, with the support of the local population, built strong bases in forested areas, while the occupying and Quisling forces tried to maintain control over roads and urban centers. The paper also deals with issues of mobilization, logistics, and the economic and demographic consequences of the war on the region. Special emphasis was placed on sabotage actions and battles that shaped the fate of Slavonia until its final liberation in 1945.
