Tko je pogriješio u Bosni
The book Who Went Wrong in Bosnia (1999) by historian Mladen Ančić is a collection of essays that analyzes the political and historical circumstances of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ančić challenges the official thesis that the war began in 1992, arguing that it was a continuation of Serbian aggression against Croatia. He criticizes simplistic multiculturalist interpretations of the conflict, highlighting the deep-rooted and often opposing national ideologies of Croats, Serbs, and Bosniaks. He particularly addresses the misuse of history for political purposes, such as the mythologizing of the "Bosnian spirit" and the concept of the "Bosnian nation." Ančić advocates a rational approach that recognizes the reality of the coexistence of antagonistic nations as the basis for long-term peace.
