Misli s gore blagoslova

Misli s gore blagoslova

Ellen Gould White

The Sermon on the Mount of Beatitudes is a heavenly blessing to the world - a voice from the throne of God.

It is addressed to mankind as a guide to duty and a light from heaven, a hope and comfort in despair, a joy and refreshment in all circumstances and in all walks of life. The Preacher of preachers and the greatest Teacher here speaks the words with which the Father Himself inspired Him. The Beatitudes are Christ's greeting, not only to those who believe, but to the whole human family. It seems as if He had for a moment forgotten that He was in this world and not in heaven, and He used the greeting common to the world of light. The blessings flowed from His lips like a life-giving stream suddenly bursting forth from a closed spring. The words spoken by Christ from the Mount of Beatitudes will retain their force through all ages. Every thought is a jewel from the treasury of truth. The principles presented in this sermon are valid for all times and for all people. Christ gave divine expression to His faith and hope, highlighting one class by one, blessed because they had built up a righteous character. By living the life of the Giver of life, by faith in Him, everyone can reach the ideal described in His words.
