Die Vielschichtigkeit ihrer Erfahrungen rührt von den tiefen Wunden her, die sie aufgrund einer krankhaften Liebesbeziehung mit ihrem Vater und später mit einem älteren Mann aus den wohlhabenden Schichten der Gesellschaft in sich trägt. In diesem Liebesspiel entsteht das Bewusstsein der Unmöglichkeit, eine andere Beziehung zu haben. Nur durch das Schreiben gelang es ihr, ihre eigene Integrität wiederzuerlangen, die im wirklichen Leben zerbrochen war.
