Zdenko Vazdar

The Differential Dictionary of Croatian and Serbian Architectural Terminology is a lexicographic work by Croatian linguist and terminology expert Zdenko Vazdar.

The book presents a systematic list and comparison of professional terminology in the field of construction (architecture, civil engineering, urban planning), highlighting the linguistic differences between the Croatian and Serbian languages in the context of post-Yugoslav changes. Vazdar, a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb and a collaborator on Croatian terminology projects, uses an empirical approach based on archival sources, professional texts and international standards, emphasizing the need for standardization of Croatian terminology in the profession. The work is part of a broader effort to preserve Croatian linguistic identity in technical disciplines during the 1990s.
