Although beekeeping as an economic activity in our country is still not a sufficiently profitable occupation, there are a large number of beekeepers who, regardless of profitability, engage in this activity. It is true that the majority of beekeepers do not make a living from beekeeping, they do it out of pure love for bees, as a hobby. But there are also those, although in smaller numbers, who supplement their household budget with income from bees. Only a small, practically negligible number of beekeepers live exclusively from beekeeping.
All of them more or less do not get from beekeeping what they could get, they do not realize the income that they could realize. The reason for this is the small number of hives that beekeepers keep (the fragmentation of apiaries) and outdated beekeeping technology, which gives low productivity, which results in low income (low profitability).
If the above causes are removed, if the number of hives is increased and beekeeping technology is improved, productivity will increase and profitability will increase, which should be the goal of every beekeeper…
