Tumač ptičijeg leta ili izvođenje romana

Tumač ptičijeg leta ili izvođenje romana

Milica Nikolić

The interpreter of the bird's flight or the performance of the novel is an experimental and genre-hybrid text that plays with the boundaries between novels, essays and diary entries.

The central figure is a narrator who simultaneously writes, observes, and analyzes her own writing process, questioning what a novel is, how it is created, and what its relationship is to reality, language, and the author. The titular "interpreter of bird flight" serves as a metaphor for the search for meaning and an attempt to grasp elusive signs, whether in the world or in a literary text. The book is full of intertextuality, self-referential commentary, and philosophical reflections. Instead of a classic plot, the emphasis is on the process, the relationship between author and text, and the fluid identity of the narrator, who occasionally distances herself from the "I" position and observes herself as a character. The novel thus becomes performative: the reader witnesses the very performance of literature, its construction and deconstruction.
