Ubistvo je šokiralo celu zemlju kao neobjašnjiv i neopravdan čin, jer je mlada žena bila smisao života za svoju majku. Mladi austrijski pisac Erih Hakl (rođen 1954) naišao je na ovu misterioznu aferu u novinama iz tridesetih godina. Autorova osnovna preokupacija je izgradnja lika majke Aurore, koja je odrasla u konzervativnoj atmosferi španske provincije...
