Misli jednog čarobnjaka

Misli jednog čarobnjaka

Saša Gerber

Debut collection of poetry by Saša Gerber, a famous Croatian magician (illusionist for children and adults) from Osijek. The book contains 33 short poems, on various topics, but with the predominant motifs of love.

The poems are simple, melodic, often in free verse or rhythmic forms, with a touch of romance, humor and bittersweet irony. The style is accessible, without excessive hermeticity – more an intimate diary of feelings than experimental poetry. Gerber writes about the heart, transience, the beauty of small moments and the pain of loss, as if performing an "illusion" of emotions in front of the reader.

Reviewers describe Gerber's collection as "short but sweet" – emotional, sincere and refreshing in Croatian poetry of the 2010s. Ideal for lovers of light, heartfelt lyrics with a touch of magic. Appreciated in local circles as a charming poetic debut by a famous illusionist.
