Clementine West is at a turning point in her life. She's about to get a promotion at the job she loves and has just moved into a magical Upper East Side apartment she inherited from her aunt. But just six months ago, she had the worst day of her life. So Clementine decides to protect herself: she'll overwork herself, find a good guy, and keep trying to reach the moon. So far, the plan is working. Mostly. Except for the love part, because she's afraid her heart won't be able to take another blow. Until, on a particularly difficult day, a stranger shows up at her apartment. Iwan, a man with a warm smile and a Southern accent who knows how to make the perfect key lime pie. Someone she would have fallen head over heels in love with once. And she might still be now, if it weren't for one small thing. Clementine's aunt always said that her apartment was a place where the past and the present blend like watercolors. Clementine and Iwan are separated by a seven-year time gap.
