Umetnost na tlu Jugoslavije : Islamska minijatura

Umetnost na tlu Jugoslavije : Islamska minijatura

Zagorka Janc

Through these "miniatures", the author brings the reader closer to the world of different traditions, emphasizing the beauty, mysticism, and complexity of Islamic culture, but also universal themes such as transience, identity, and the meaning of life.

The photomonography Islamic Miniatures is dedicated to the art of Islamic miniature painting, which developed in various cultural centers such as Persia, the Ottoman Empire and the Mughal Indian Empire. The book shows the richness of this artistic tradition through high-quality photographs and accompanying texts. The emphasis is on the visual presentation of miniatures: detailed illustrations of manuscripts, scenes from literature, history, religion and everyday life. Miniatures are characterized by precision, vivid colors and ornamental details, and were often part of manuscript books. The photomonography has educational and aesthetic value - it allows understanding the artistic expression of the Islamic world, but also enjoyment of its visual beauty.
